of <h1>Applicants Can Get Up to 100% Penalty Reduction for Disclosing Second Cartel Under Regulation 5, 2024.</h1> Regulation 5 of the CCI (Lesser Penalty) Regulations, 2024, allows an applicant who has already disclosed a cartel to receive a further reduction in penalties if they disclose another cartel. If an applicant makes a full disclosure about a second cartel, they may receive an additional penalty reduction of up to 30% for the first cartel and up to 100% for the second. The Commission will consider factors such as the likelihood of detecting the new cartel without the disclosure. Individuals involved in both cartel disclosures may also benefit from the lesser penalty provisions.
