of <h1>New Rule: GST Tribunal Appointees Must Resign or Retire from Judicial or Service Roles Before Starting</h1> Rule 6 of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (Appointment and Conditions of Service of President and Members) Rules, 2023, mandates that individuals appointed as President or Member of the Tribunal, who are currently serving as Judges of the Supreme Court or a High Court, or as Members of an organized service, must resign or take voluntary retirement from their current position before assuming their role in the Tribunal.
