SEBI Regulation 11A Specifies Summons Delivery: Direct, Digital, or Public Notice Methods Explained
Regulation 11A of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) outlines the methods for serving summons and notices. These can be delivered directly to the individual or their authorized agent, sent via fax, email, electronic messaging, courier, speed post, or registered post to their residence or business address. If these methods fail, the documents can be affixed to the person's premises or published in newspapers. Notices sent via fax must indicate the number of pages, and emails must be digitally signed. Failure of email delivery does not invalidate service.
