Age of Superannuation: members hold office until the prescribed age under Rule 16, subject to Rule 10. Rule 16 of the CESTAT Members (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1987 provides that a member shall hold office until he attains the age of sixty-two years, subject to the provisions of Rule 10, thereby making superannuation age the standard tenure endpoint while preserving any exceptions or qualifications contained in Rule 10.
