of <h1>Eligibility for CESTAT Membership Requires Listing Under Rule 6(4) and Medical Fitness Confirmation by Central Government Board.</h1> Rule 7 of the CESTAT members (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1987, stipulates that an individual cannot be appointed as a member unless they are on the list created under sub-rule (4) of Rule 6. Additionally, the individual must be declared medically fit by a Medical Board established by the Central Government, unless they have already been deemed fit by an equivalent authority.
