<h1>Rule 9 Allows Reversion or Termination of CESTAT Members with One Month's Notice for Various Appointments</h1> Rule 9 of the CESTAT Members (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1987, addresses the reversion or termination of service for technical or judicial members. If appointed from a government post, the Central Government can revert them to their original position with one month's notice unless confirmed. If they wish to revert, they must also provide one month's notice. If a member has superannuated, the government can terminate their appointment with a month's notice. Judicial members appointed directly from the Bar can have their appointment terminated by the government or resign with one month's notice.
