of <h1>Rule 5: CESTAT Members' Prior Service Recognized as Regular from Original Appointment Date</h1> Rule 5 of the CESTAT members (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1987, stipulates that any individual holding the position of President, Vice-President, Judicial Member, or Technical Member in the Tribunal at the time these rules commence will be recognized as appointed to their respective roles from their original appointment date. Their prior service will be considered regular service under these rules for all relevant purposes.
