Utilization of Fund: central/state governments must apply credited money for consumer welfare under prescribed rules. Money credited to the Fund shall be utilised by the Central or State Government for consumer welfare under rules made by that Government, and the Government or a specified authority must maintain proper and separate accounts and records of the Fund in a prescribed form to be determined in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India.
