Delegation of powers allows the Competent Authority to authorize other officers to exercise statutory functions via Gazette notification subject to conditions. The Competent Authority may, by notification in the Gazette, direct that any power exercisable by any authority or officer under the Act may be exercisable also by another specified authority or officer, subject to such conditions as may be specified in the notification.
