of <h1>Finance Act 2011 amends CENVAT Credit Rules: removes 'and' from clause (ix), adds service tax in clause (ixa).</h1> The Eighth Schedule of the Finance Act, 2011, amends Rule 3 of the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004. This amendment involves two changes in sub-rule (1). Firstly, the word 'and' at the end of clause (ix) is removed. Secondly, a new clause (ixa) is inserted, which includes service tax leviable under section 66A of the Finance Act. These amendments are effective from 18th April 2006.
