Export tariff reform: new schedule prescribes specific and ad valorem duties on listed commodities under the Customs Tariff Act. Amendment substitutes the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act by enacting an Export Tariff schedule that prescribes specific or ad valorem export duties for listed commodities by Chapter and heading. The Schedule requires application of the First Schedule's Chapter, heading and General Rules for interpretation and sets duties either as currency per weight/unit rates or as percentage rates, with certain entries allowing alternative charging rules or group headings to determine the applicable export duty.
