CENVAT credit amendment: wording broadened to extend qualifying use and a prescribed refund cap removed. The notification under rule 5 of the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004 is amended by substituting in clause (a) 'used in' with 'used in or in relation to' and in clause (b) 'used in' with 'used for', both deemed substituted from the original notification date, and by omitting the portion of Appendix condition 5 that specified a maximum refund, deemed omitted from that date.
