of <h1>Amendments to Section 32-O: Removes 2007 Date Reference, Updates Section 32F, and Omits Sub-section (2) for Settlement Applications.</h1> Clause 66 of the Bill proposes amendments to section 32-O of the Central Excise Act. It removes the phrase 'before the 1st day of June, 2007' from sub-section (1) and inserts additional references to section 32F as it existed before the 2007 Finance Act amendments. Furthermore, sub-section (2) is omitted. These changes allow assessees to apply for settlement before the Settlement Commission, except in specified situations.
