Restriction on CENVAT credit use enables rules to withdraw facilities or suspend registrations to curb duty evasion. Empowers the Central Government by rule to provide for withdrawal of facilities, imposition of restrictions (including on utilisation of CENVAT credit), and suspension of dealer registration to deal with evasion of excise duty or misuse of CENVAT credit, targeting manufacturers, exporters and registered dealers.
