of <h1>Government Savings Certificates Act Amended: New Definitions for 'Holder' and 'Minor' under Section 2</h1> In the amendment to section 2 of the Government Savings Certificates Act, 1959, the definition of 'holder' is revised to include two categories: individuals holding savings certificates issued before the Finance Bill, 2005 received presidential assent, and those holding certificates issued on or after this date. Additionally, the term 'minor' is defined as a person who has not reached the age of majority as per the Majority Act, 1875.
