Schedule substitution replaces the existing excise schedule under the Additional Duties of Excise framework by Finance Act amendment. Section 116 of the Finance Act, 2005 substitutes the First Schedule to the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 with the Schedule specified in the Tenth Schedule, thereby replacing the operative statutory schedule in the principal Act.
