<h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Acrylic Fibre from USA, Thailand, Korea; Protects Domestic Industry Under Chapter 55</h1> The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Acrylic Fibre imported from the USA, Thailand, and Korea RP under Chapter 55 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This action follows findings that these imports were priced below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty rates are set at 0.296 USD per kg for all exporters from the USA, 0.534 USD per kg for all exporters from Korea RP, 0.180 USD per kg for Thai Acrylic Fibre Company Ltd., and 0.784 USD per kg for other exporters from Thailand. This duty is effective until April 24, 2002, unless extended or revoked.
