of <h1>India Amends Import Policy for Integrated Circuits; CHIMS Trial Extended, Registration Starts October 1, 2021.</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for Integrated Circuits (ICs) under specific HS Codes in Chapter 85 of the ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule I. This amendment, effective from October 1, 2021, introduces a policy condition for these codes and extends the trial period for the online testing of the CHIMS system until September 30, 2021. The registration on the CHIMS portal will commence on October 1, 2021. This notification is issued under the authority of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
