          <h1>Trade facilitation priority: DGFT modernises export import procedures to enable paperless processing and integrated data exchange.</h1> The Foreign Trade Policy is the primary regulatory instrument for exports and imports, notified under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act and subject to amendment by the Central Government. DGFT implements the Policy through the Hand Book of Procedures and electronic measures-e IEC, e BRC, electronic profiles, and EDI message exchange with Customs, Banks, EPCs, GSTN and RBI-to reduce transaction costs and enable paperless, integrated processing. Customs facilitation features include Single Window, 24x7 clearance, self assessment, and the Authorised Economic Operator programme to secure supply chains and expedite clearance.
