Telecommunication service definition covers transmission or reception of signals and data by electronic means; broadcasting excluded. Telecommunication service is a service made available by transmission or reception of signs, signals, writing, images, sounds or other intelligence by wire, radio, visual or other electromagnetic means, expressly including electronic mail, voice mail, data services, audio/text/video text, radio paging and cellular mobile telephone services; the Place of Provision Rules adopt the same definition but exclude broadcasting services from this category.
