Ministry of Finance Expands e-SANCHIT Platform for Paperless Processing; 47 PGAs Now Upload LPCOs Directly.
The circular from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, announces the expansion of the e-SANCHIT platform, which facilitates paperless processing by allowing Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) to upload digitally signed Licenses/Permits/Certificates/Other Authorizations (LPCOs). As of January 31, 2020, importers, exporters, and customs brokers will no longer upload LPCOs themselves, as four additional PGAs have joined, bringing the total to 47. PGAs must upload LPCOs issued in the last 15 days, and beneficiaries must ensure their registered email addresses in ICEGATE are correct for communication. Public notices and feedback channels are also established.
