<h1>Central Government Can Appoint Senior Member as Acting Chairperson During Vacancy or Absence Under Rule</h1> If the Chairperson's office becomes vacant due to death, resignation, or other reasons, the Central Government may appoint the senior most Member to act as Chairperson until a new Chairperson assumes office. If the Chairperson is unable to perform duties due to absence, illness, or other causes, the Central Government may authorize the senior most Member to discharge those functions temporarily. The senior most Member acting as Chairperson or discharging the Chairperson's functions will continue to receive the salary and allowances of a Member during this period.
