of <h1>Routing of export and import advance payments through same Authorised Dealer, change only on intimation; interest capped.</h1> Exporters must route advances and subsequent export realisations through the same Authorised Dealer, with change permitted only upon intimation to both Authorised Dealers; importers must likewise route advance and subsequent import payments through the same Authorised Dealer, change permitted only upon similar intimation. An Authorised Dealer may permit advance remittance for imports after satisfying itself of the genuineness of the requirement and may prescribe thresholds above which advance payments require a standby letter of credit or guarantee. Interest payable on advance receipts for exports or on delayed payments for imports is capped by the all-in-cost ceiling applicable to trade credit under the relevant borrowing and lending regulations.
