Nomination for government savings certificates allows a designated beneficiary, guardian for minor nominees, and postmaster acceptance. Form 2 enables registered savings certificate holders to nominate one or more persons to be entitled to the certificates and sums due on death, requires nominee particulars (including date of birth for minors), identification of certificate details, and-if a nominee is a minor-appointment of a named person to receive the sum during minority. The form must be signed or thumb-impressed, witnessed (with witnesses known to the Post Office for illiterate holders), submitted with the certificates to the registering Postmaster, and bears the Postmaster's acceptance and date stamp.
