Fees for National Savings Certificate transfers, duplicates, discharge, denomination conversions, and nomination changes set at five rupees each
Prescribes a fee of five rupees for specified transactions relating to National Savings Certificates, namely transfer of a certificate between persons (other than transfer to a court of law or under a court order), issue of a duplicate certificate, issue of a certificate of discharge, and conversion from one denomination to another; for denomination conversion, the fee is determined by reference to the number of certificates required to be issued on conversion, thereby increasing the fee proportionately with the number of replacement certificates. It also levies a fee of five rupees on each application to register a nomination, or to vary or cancel an existing nomination, while exempting the first nomination registration application from any fee, thereby making subsequent nomination-related applications chargeable.
