Article 226 amendment removes cross reference to Articles 131 A and 226 A, changing the textual framing of writ jurisdiction in the Constitution. The Constitution (43rd Amendment) Act, 1977 deletes from clause (1) of Article 226 the words, figures and letters subjecting it to Article 131 A and Article 226 A, effecting a textual modification that removes that cross reference from the writ jurisdiction provision.
