of <h1>Carriers must register with the Principal Commissioner using Form-II for a 3-year term, extendable to 5 or 10 years.</h1> The regulations stipulate that an authorized carrier must apply to the jurisdictional Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs for registration using Form-II. Upon satisfaction with the application, the Commissioner will approve the registration for three years. Before the expiration of this period, the Commissioner may review and extend the registration for further periods of five years, or ten years for authorized economic operators. Carriers already registered under the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations, 2018, are automatically considered registered under these regulations.
