Transhipment registration: authorised carriers must apply for registration to operate under electronic cargo tracking regulations. Authorised carriers must apply in Form-II to the jurisdictional Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs for registration under the Electronic Cargo Tracking System Regulations; approval, if the Commissioner is satisfied, grants an initial three-year registration, subject to review and renewable extensions (ordinary five-year renewals and longer renewals for authorised economic operators); carriers registered under the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations are deemed registered under these regulations.
