Right of appeal expanded to include orders on trust registration, enabling appeals against registration decisions. Amendment substitutes clause (c) of section 253(1) to allow appeals to the Appellate Tribunal against orders by a Principal Commissioner or Commissioner under section 12AA or under section 12AB, consequential to insertion of a provision prescribing procedure for registration of trusts and institutions, with effect from 1st June, 2020.
