Rule 18: Appellate Tribunal Orders Must Be Signed by Presiding Officer and Two Members, Pronounced During Tribunal Sittings.
Rule 18 of the Depositories (Appeal to Securities Appellate Tribunal) Rules, 2000 mandates that every order of the Appellate Tribunal must be signed and dated by the Presiding Officer and two other Members. The Presiding Officer is empowered to issue interim orders or injunctions with written justification if deemed necessary for justice. Orders are to be pronounced during the Tribunal's sitting by the Presiding Officer or, if temporarily absent, by an authorized Member. This rule was amended in 2005 to include the requirement for signatures from the two additional Members.
