<h1>Regulation 18 bars key parties from acquiring a guarantor's property without approval, ensuring fair insolvency resolution.</h1> Regulation 18 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Resolution Process for Personal Guarantors to Corporate Debtors) Regulations, 2019, prohibits certain individuals and entities from purchasing or acquiring interests in the property of a guarantor without the permission of the Adjudicating Authority. These include the resolution professional, any partner or director of the insolvency professional entity, appointed professionals, creditors, companies where the guarantor or a creditor is a promoter or director, and any associates of these parties. The Adjudicating Authority has the power to nullify any unauthorized transactions and issue appropriate orders.
