<h1>India-Malaysia Economic Cooperation Rules 2017 Enforced to Implement Bilateral Safeguard Measures Under Customs Tariff Act 1975</h1> The India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (Bilateral Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2017, established by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, are enacted under the authority of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and the Customs Act, 1962. These rules are designed to implement bilateral safeguard measures as part of the economic cooperation agreement between India and Malaysia. They officially came into effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette on June 21, 2017, through Notification No. 55/2017-Customs (N.T.) by the Central Board of Excise and Customs.
