          <h1>Companies removal of names rules 2016 establish government power to remove company names and supersede 1956 rules.</h1> The Central Government, under section 248 (sub sections (1), (2) and (4)) read with section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013, notified the Companies (Removal of Names of Companies from the Register of Companies) Rules, 2016, which are titled as such, come into force on publication in the Official Gazette, and supersede the Companies (Central Government) General Rules and Forms, 1956 except for prior actions or omissions.
