<h1>Removal of company name on suo-motu grounds limited by exclusions and requires notice with opportunity to respond.</h1> The Registrar may remove a company's name from the register suo-motu, except for specified excluded categories: listed or delisted companies, vanishing companies, companies under inspection, inquiry or prosecution, those with pending compounding applications, outstanding public deposits, unsatisfied charges, or companies formed for charitable purposes. A vanishing company is defined by failed filings, non-maintained registered office, and untraceable directors. The Registrar must serve a written notice to all directors by registered or speed post stating reasons and inviting representations and documents within the prescribed period before effecting removal.
