Preliminary findings in safeguard investigations permit expedited recording of serious injury prospects and require public notice and government notification. The Director General may proceed expeditiously in a safeguard investigation and, in critical circumstances, record preliminary findings on serious injury or threat of serious injury; issue a public notice of those preliminary findings; and send a copy of the public notice to the Central Government in the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Finance.
