Authorised courier registration enables nationwide Customs Station operations, subject to jurisdictional Form A application and station-wise intimation requirements.

Registration of authorised couriers requires an intending operator to apply in Form A to the jurisdictional Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs for the area from which goods are to be imported or exported. A courier registered under the prescribed mechanism may transact business at Customs Stations across the country, provided it gives Form A intimation to the jurisdictional Principal Commissioner or Commissioner for each Customs Station where it intends to operate.
