Export controls on ozone depleting and narcotic precursor chemicals require authorizations and NOCs before shipment for exporters.

The export schedule classifies listed organic chemicals as either Free with a required No Objection Certificate from the Department of Chemicals and Petro Chemicals or the Narcotics Commissioner, or as Restricted/Prohibited under the Montreal Protocol framework. Exports of chemicals subject to ozone depletion controls require licences or are prohibited to non Party countries, while Hydrofluorocarbons and related substances require export authorization and NOC of the Ozone Cell, MoEF&CC.
