<h1>India Amends Export Policy: APIs and Formulations Now Free for Export Under ITCHS Chapters 29 & 30</h1> The Government of India has amended the export policy for certain Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and formulations derived from these APIs, as per Notification No. 02/2015-2020 dated April 6, 2020. The amendment, under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, affects chapters 29 and 30 of the ITCHS Export Policy. Previously restricted APIs and their formulations, including Tinidazole, Metronidazole, Acyclovir, various vitamins, Progesterone, Chloramphenicol, Erythromycin Salts, Neomycin, Clindamycin Salts, and Ornidazole, are now classified as 'Free' for export. This change is effective immediately.
