of <h1>Customs duty exemption for specified sports, mountaineering and anti-doping equipment for recognized authorities and eminent athletes, time-bound</h1> The notification exempts specified sports, mountaineering and anti-doping goods from customs duty when imported for official use or training by recognised national/state sports authorities, authorised federations, specified associations or sports persons of outstanding eminence, subject to production of prescribed certificates from designated government sports authorities and compliance with licensing/approval requirements for arms and certain items. A comprehensive list of eligible items by sport is annexed. The exemption is conditional, time-bound and amended periodically; it was later superseded by a subsequent customs notification effective 01-11-2025 and contains a clause limiting its operation beyond 31-03-2028.
