<h1>India amends customs rules to ease import of shooting equipment for renowned shooters with NRAI certification.</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 146/94-Customs to modify conditions for importing shooting equipment by renowned shooters. The amendment allows renowned shooters to import goods listed under item XV 'Shooting' for training purposes, provided they produce a certificate from the National Rifle Association of India confirming their status. A renowned shooter is defined as someone who has participated in a National Shooting Championship in an Open Event and achieved the Minimum Qualifying Score set by the National Rifle Association. This amendment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest.
