of <h1>Halal certification for meat exports expanded to 20 countries under i-CAS, with phased compliance and Egypt granted six month transition.</h1> The notification expands mandatory i-CAS Halal certification for specified meat and meat products to twenty additional countries and prescribes phased compliance: all listed countries except Egypt must meet I-CAS Halal requirements after a two week transition; Egypt receives a six month transition for system readiness and certification body onboarding. The requirement for certification by NABCB accredited bodies and adherence to importing country regulations remains unchanged. The amendment modifies the notified country list in the Foreign Trade Policy framework and brings the added countries within the scope of mandatory conformity assessment for exports of the specified products.
