Halal certification requirements for specified meat and meat products are expanded by adding twenty countries to the notified list under the India Conformity Assessment Scheme (I-CAS) - Halal. The additional-country compliance requirements apply after a two-week transition period for all added countries except Egypt, for which implementation is deferred for six months. Existing conditions, including certification by NABCB-accredited bodies and compliance with importing-country regulations, remain unchanged.
