of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Amended: Exemptions from Quality Control Orders for Imports by AA Holders, EOUs, SEZs Now Effective.</h1> Notification No. 16/2024-25, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, amends the Foreign Trade Policy to enable exemptions from mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for inputs imported by Advance Authorisation holders, Export Oriented Units (EOU), and Special Economic Zones (SEZ). The Export Obligation (EO) period for these exemptions is limited to 180 days from the clearance of import consignments for textile and chemical products, as notified by the Ministry of Textiles and the Department of Chemicals & Petro-chemicals (DCPC). These changes take immediate effect and have been approved by the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
