of <h1>India Amends SCOMET List: Key Changes Under Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020, Effective 30 Days Post-Issuance.</h1> The Government of India has issued an amendment to Appendix 3 (SCOMET items) of Schedule-2 of the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2018. This amendment, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020, is authorized by Sections 5 and 14A of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. The updated SCOMET list will be available on the Directorate General of Foreign Trade's web portal under 'Regulatory Updates.' The changes will take effect 30 days post-issuance to allow industry transition. This notification is part of the annual SCOMET Update for 2022.
