of <h1>India Imposes Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Polyester Yarn Imports from Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia</h1> The Central Government of India has imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) of polyesters imported from Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. This action follows preliminary findings that these countries have been exporting POY below normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. The duty rates vary by exporter and are detailed in an annexed table. This measure is effective until October 11, 2001, and is payable in Indian currency. The applicable exchange rate for calculating the duty will be determined by the Ministry of Finance's notifications.
