of <h1>Export Policy Update: Broken Rice Under HS Code 1006 40 00 Now Prohibited Starting September 9, 2022.</h1> The Central Government has amended the export policy for broken rice under HS Code 1006 40 00, changing its status from 'Free' to 'Prohibited', effective from September 9, 2022. This amendment is pursuant to the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020. Exceptions are made for consignments where loading commenced before the notification, or where the shipping bill was filed and vessels berthed before the notification. Additionally, consignments registered with Customs before the notification can be exported until November 30, 2022. Transitional arrangements under Para 1.05 of the Foreign Trade Policy do not apply.
