The amendment replaces item (ix) to include contributions to incubators funded by government entities and public-funded universities, including IITs, national laboratories, and autonomous bodies associated with research councils like ICAR, ICMR, and CSIR. These contributions are aimed at promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research in science, technology, engineering, and medicine. The amendment was corrected by a corrigendum dated 19-11-2019 regarding the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
