India Lifts Minimum Export Price Rule for Onion Exports, Allowing All Varieties to Be Exported Freely.
The Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, has announced the removal of the Minimum Export Price (MEP) requirement for the export of onions. This amendment affects the export policy outlined in previous notifications and allows all varieties of onions to be exported without any MEP restrictions until further notice. This change is effective immediately and modifies the prior condition that required a minimum export price of US$ 850 per metric ton.
