of <h1>India Lowers Onion Export Price to $700/MT for Specific Varieties, Effective Immediately Until February 20, 2018.</h1> The Government of India has amended its export policy on onions, effective immediately, by imposing a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 700 F.O.B. per Metric Ton. This policy applies to specific onion varieties listed under Serial Numbers 51 and 52 of Chapter 7 in the ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import Items. Exports will be permitted only through a Letter of Credit (LC) until February 20, 2018. This amendment revises the previous MEP from US$ 850 to US$ 700, as per the notifications dated November 23, 2017, and December 29, 2017.
