of <h1>India Amends Onion Export Policy: Sets Minimum Price at $850 per Ton Until January 20, 2018.</h1> The Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, has amended the export policy for onions, imposing a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 850 F.O.B. per metric ton. This amendment extends the validity of the previous notification from December 31, 2017, to January 20, 2018. All varieties of onions can only be exported on a Letter of Credit (LC) basis, adhering to this MEP requirement. This change is enacted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, as part of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020.
