<h1>Mizoram Police Officers Empowered to Execute Customs Functions Under Customs Act Sections 100-110 for Better Enforcement.</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has authorized police officers in Mizoram to perform specific functions of Customs Officers within their jurisdiction. This delegation applies to Superintendents of Police, who are empowered to execute functions under sections 100 to 104, 106, 107, 109, and 110 of the Act, and also sections 105 and 108 where no Customs Superintendent is present. Additionally, officers ranked Sub-Inspector and above, but below Superintendent, are entrusted with functions under sections 100 to 104, 106, 107, 109, and 110. This measure aims to enhance customs enforcement in the region.
