of <h1>Police Officers in Nagaland Designated as Customs Officers Under Customs Act, 1962, Sections 6 & 100-110</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of section 6 of the Customs Act, 1962, has designated certain police officers to perform the functions of Customs Officers. These officers include Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents of Police from Kohima and Mokokchung, Assistant Commissioners from Tuensang, Kiphere, Noklak, and Mon, Circle Officers, and Officers Incharge of Police Stations in various regions such as Kohima, Mokokchung, Dimapur, Phek, Zunheboto, and Wokha. Additionally, Sub-Inspectors and Assistant Sub-Inspectors at Amguri and Merapani Gates are assigned duties under sections 100 to 110 of the Customs Act.
